Blue Ridge, GA

Headed up to Blue Ridge for the weekend. Friday we stopped and did some shopping along the way. Once we arrived in Blue Ridge we headed over to Mericer Orchards and looked around. Mom got a new wind chime. After stopping to get some groceries we headed to our Airbnb. The place we rented was called Blue Bliss it was about 5ish miles outside of town. All paved roads which was nice, but the drive had a nice incline to get up to the house. When we arrived there was a car here, so we were a little worried. Turn out there is an apartment over the garage that was rented out too. There was plenty of room to sit inside and outside on the porch which was nice. For dinner we had some salads that we had picked up from the grocery store along with some peach cobble and ice cream! We spent the evening watching TV and just relaxing.

Saturday morning we got up and were at Mericer by 8:05am! We were hoping for some cinnamon rolls that they had been posting on Instagram. We didn’t find any, so we go some Apple Cinder donuts. Swung by Starbucks got a Coffee and then went back to the cabin to sit on the porch and enjoy our breakfast.

Around 10 am we headed into town to look at some different properties. We had fun checking out lots and house from the road. I need my cabin house!! After we were done we headed to downtown to do some shopping. We went to several stores and found a few things. There were tons of people! Most of the people were not wearing masks. A lot of the stores did require masks, but not all of them. It was in the low 90s today, but not every humid. We stopped for lunch at Hansen’s Grill and had cheeseburgers. They were very large and very yummy.

After lunch we finished our shopping and decided to go check out some more lots. After running a few more errands we came back to downtown for some ice cream!

After some ice cream we headed back to the cabin to spend the evening relaxing. I read, watched TV, and worked on a puzzle. For dinner we had Pecan Chicken Salad that we had picked up at Mericer.

It was a nice and relaxing weekend. Fun to get away and sit around at a different house! There were so many people here this weekend and most without masks.
