Woke up around 7 am again this morning to get ready for The Glaciers and whale watching tour! We decided to head up to Cabanas for breakfast since it is a little faster. After eating we came back to the room to grab all of our stuff before heading to our meeting station. We arrived at the right moment as soon as we got checked in we headed to get off of the ship. Maybe should have arrived 5 minutes earlier to have time to get our stickers on. Once off the ship we boarded a bus to head up to the Mendenhall Glacier.
Only the drive we saw several eagles hanging around, which was very cool.

Once we arrived at the Glacier, we had just under an hour to walk around. There was a really cool 2-mile hike that would have been fun to take. It went right to the waterfall which looked like fun, but I knew we probably wouldn’t have time. Something to save for another trip. Instead, we did the photo loop to look at the glacier and then headed to the visitor’s center to look around and of course the gift shop. While at dinner last night our servers asked if the girls had called their parents while in port. I was like nope didn’t even think about that! So, since we had some time and a nice view of the glacier we suggested they FaceTime (Bella had her headphones which is why I suggested FaceTime.)

Then back to the bus to head towards the harbor to see some whales. We were the first bus to get on board which was great we got to pock seats first. It was really warm downstairs, so we headed to the seating upstairs. There was also an open standing area, so we grabbed some seats inside and I went to stand outside.
It was finally time to head out to sea and look for some wildlife. We didn’t have to go very far before we saw out first Humpback. My wish this trip was to see one coming out to feed. I have tons of pictures on my camera which will come once I have better WIFI. I had just switched to try and get a picture on my phone when the whale came out to eat. It was so cool!!!

Then we headed off for another location. Every once and while you would see a Stellar Sea Lion pop up near the boat. The boat captains talk to each other letting them know when the see a whale. So, we headed to a spot where a mom and her calf had been spotted. We had to wait a while and finally the baby popped up. It spent a lot of time playing in the same area before finally swimming around/under our boat to the other side where its mom was. Then we were able to get some really cool shots of them together.

They came pretty close to the boat. We saw them come up almost right under the bow of another boat it was crazy how close they were. Of course, they aren’t checking for boats when they come up and the boats don’t know where they will pop up. The captain did say there were rules about how close you can be, but these animals are moving so they try and give them space especially since there was a baby.

After watching these whales for a whale, it was already time to head back. One the way back we spotted 2 more whales. Once spent a lot of time near the surface, so we got tons of shots before it decided to dive back down. Once back at the dock we headed back to the ship. It had warmed up to almost 80!!!!

Back at the cruise port Nana and Bella decided to go back onto the ship. Jennah and I took the shuttle into town to do some shopping. We went into the Alaskan Shirt Company (same company we did Skagway). Jennah and I both found a shirt and headed off to the next store.
We stopped in a few more places and found some cute stuff and walked a little bit around downtown. Tons of jewelry stores, other the Pandora I don’t really think about buying jewelry on trips. We found a pharmacy, so I could get some cough drops. I had a really bad cough the last 2 days and then back to the shuttle to take us to the ship. Once on board they were passing out water and cookies, so we grabbed some and got on the elevator. Back in the room we relaxed a little bit before dinner.

Tiana came out to sing a few times. Louis also made an appearance. Then they have a little Marti Gras Parade. Jennah would not get up and join the parade. Bella was good and got up. She did not stay for the limbo walk part, but she was good about participating.

After dinner we were going to take a walk on the 4th deck, but as soon as we walked outside, we realized it had cooled down a lot. So, we came back inside.

We saw Fisherman Mickey walked past us as we headed to midship. There were some more photo backdrop options. We decide to stop and get our picture taken at the one with the whales. Bella had gone back upstairs, so she missed the photo op.
We talked about going down the theater to watch the Frozen play. Then I remembered that we can watch it on the TV!!! So instead, we laid in bed to watch the play.
