Oh man it was so hot all night long. We had the AC set to 18 degree Celsius/ 64 Fahrenheit and it never got close. I’d say maybe it was 80 in the room. We opened the windows in the morning and it was much cooler outside. We watched people outside working. We saw a boat dropping off beer, water, and other drinks. The postal boat, a cheese, milk, yogurt and butter boat. Then we headed out for the day and stopped at the front desk to ask about it. They said they would send someone up. We headed out to find breakfast and start exploring.
We stopped at Bar Olympia for pastries and espresso. It was a little pricey about 20€ for 4 Croissants and 2 espressos. That is what you get in touristy areas.

After some breakfast we decided to start walking around and check things out. We stopped at Chiesa di Santa Maria di Nazareth

After dropping there we started our exploring again. We saw a fish stand and then a boat selling fruits and vegetables.

We saw another church that had free admission so we decided to stop in there too and check it out. This time we stopped at Chiesa di S. Stefano.

I suggested going to the Opera house to check that out since the girls haven’t been to one and I’m currently obsessed with them in Europe. I need to come when it isn’t summer and super hot outside to see an Opera. They offer family packs for tours but because we sisters and not a “family” as the ticket officer woman said we had to buy 2 adults and 2 kids tickets. It was super weird because in Brussels when we bought tickets they would tell us to do a family plan since it is cheaper. I guess the theater has some ideas about families. The tickets weren’t super expensive so we didn’t care. It came with an audio guide for a self guided tour.

After the theater we decided to find a place for lunch since we were going to head over to St. Mark’s Square and everything is more expensive over there.

Then we headed towards Rialto Bridge as we headed back towards our hotel. Since it was hot at the hotel when we left we weren’t in any rush to get back there. We looked into a few shops at the pretty masks. Closer to our hotel we went into another place knowing it would be a little cheaper farther away from the main tourist places. We stopped in at Bettiol Gabriele since there was large selection of masks and other fun souvenirs.

When we got back to our room after walking around it was still really hot and humid. So kelle and I left to go get a drink from the bar and found a place with a couple chairs where it felt nice. We told the girls to bring their phones and come down to get out of the hot room. After an hour I checked with the front desk and they said some checked and it should be working now. It still wasn’t working some how it felt hotter in the room. So we called back and they sent the maintenance guy back up and we were told give it 30 minutes and it will be cooler in the room. So we went to dinner at Ristorante Trattoria Povoledo.

After dinner we walked around a little and explore a new little area before stopping for gelato.

Then we headed back to our still hot room. I went downstairs and complained (again). They told me they were fully booked and couldn’t move my room. So I asked for them to bring a fan up.
