June 26,2022 Aix-En-Provence

Since it was Sunday we took it slowly and let the girls sleep in. There were several things we saw that would be closed on Sunday, so we weren’t in a rush to get out of the room this morning.

We stopped at Boulangerie Patissere Chez Augustine. I had the cafe crème and a brioche with chocolate.
Jennah had an oreo donut

We saw that there is a train that does a city tour. Sort of looks like the ones you see in the mall just larger. It was 30€ for the 4 of us to go. It was a guided tour and had headphones so you could listen to the history of Aix which was cool. We went past a lot of places we had seen, but also saw some new places that were a little farther than we had walked. The only our was about 45 minutes.

Then Jennah wanted to go on the carousel her 2nd of the trip.

We stopped by the Vanderbilt building so Kelly could show us where she went to school while in Aix. We looked at the church next to the building and went into Musée Grant. There was a lot of pairings and pictures from Italy. After walking around we stopped in at the Irish Pub 4 Corners for drinks and appetizers.

St. Germain Sprtiz (like a Hugo)
Sorrentina Bruschetta
Mozzarella sticks, calamari, chicken nuggets, onion rings
I got Jennah to try to calamari. She tried it is Italy and we thought the ones in Aix were much better than Italy.

After a light snack we headed over to the Monoprix. It was a department store and grocery store in one. Jennah found a cute outfit on sale. Then we went downstairs to the grocery store. We saw some interesting type of chips.

After walking around we headed back to the hotel to relax for a little bit and start doing some packing before heading out for dinner. For dinner we stopped at Le Cintra. The waiter asked if we had a reservation which was odd because the restaurant was pretty empty.

I had the Kir Royal again. We were actually given a good amount of water tonight.
Bella had the mussels and fries.
Jennah and I had the ham and cheese omelet. It was interesting that it came with fries. Once the food arrived we realized we could have shared they were so large.
After dinner we walked over to another fountain and church.
We thought this clock on the wall was really cool.
