Castaway February 22, 2023

Woke up around 7am again. Evidently that is the magical wake up time this cruise. We headed up to Cabanas for a quick bite before getting off in Castaway. There are new 5k medals, so we decided to go ahead and complete that. It is in the 80s today, so a little warmer than in December. After finishing up the 5k we headed back to the ship and head to the pool.

It was nice and quiet on deck 11 and we easily found a nice spot in the Quiet Cove. Spent a little time in the hot tub watching people parasail. Then we switched sides of the ship and got a drink and found new seats.

After we were done with our Bon Voyage drinks we decided to grab some lunch. Tow-maters had pulled pork again, so I went with that it was yummy.

I went in the pool but it was a little chilly, so I switched to the hot tub. The adults area was not crowded today which was amazing. It has been packed over this cruise. We decided to get dressed and head down to deck 4 to walk some and relax on the loungers down there. We saw tons of boats going out with people Parasailing today.

Lots of relaxing on the ship today. Watched parts of Marvel Movies on the TV in the room before heading down for dinner. Dinner tonight was back at Royal Palace

Tomato caprese- Buffalo mozzarella, Italian Roma tomatoes and picked basil, drizzled with virgin olive oils
Porcini sacchetti – pasta filled with porcini mushrooms, Swiss and fontina cheese and garlic, thyme and a Prosecco wine sauce (Radu our server added extra pasta to our appetizer).
Chicken schnitzel- breaded chicken breast fried in butter, served with roasted bacon potatoes and buttered green beans
The dessert menu tonight was pretty. This is the first cruise since COVID we have been given menus at every restaurant without having to ask for them.
Amaretto cheesecake- creamy vanilla cheesecake layer with baked amaretto sour cream
Radu our server decided we need to try this too. Chocolate Decadence
Stingray blanket
