Woke up at 3:30am! Way too early to be up but wanted to make sure we were at the airport in plenty of time.
We left the hotel about 4:10am to walk to the waterfront station. The station didn’t open until 4:30 so we had to wait a few minutes outside.

Once the stationed opened we were able to head down and get tickets to the airport and head to the track. The first train didn’t leave until 4:48 so we were early but not the only people there. I was supposed how many people were getting on the train before 5pm. Not my time preference. We easily made it to the airport station and then made the trek over to the United check in. We used the kiosks to print our baggage tags but most people didn’t so the line was moving super slow. There was a long United line evidently from a cancelled morning flight. Lots of people getting up set about waiting to be rebooked.
After having our bags scanned the first time by United we then had to take them over to baggage drop and put them on the belt. Next line was security. We got through the getting our bags on the belt quickly but took for ever to actually get our bags. Both mom and I had a bag go to secondary screening. The screen was going through a woman’s bag and looking through everything. Turning pages in books opening every compartment. The next bag has tons of liquids and the man made her out them in a quart sized bag. So we had to wait while the lady did that and decided what liquids she wanted to throw away. Finally my bag came up. I had nail clippers in my bag (which I always have) but it got flagged this time. The same with mom’s bag. Then yet another line! This time U.S. customs. That was really quick just asked if we had been on a cruise and if we bought anything in Canada. Even with all of the lines it was still only 50 minutes from the when we got off the sky train to getting through security.
Once through all of those lines we stopped to get some coffee and a bite to each. So far much more relaxed airport feel than when we left Orlando.
By Gate E80 there was a little play area for kids. It has a slide and a maze for them to run around in. First flight to Denver was easy. We were served breakfast on the plane.

Arrived in Denver next flight isn’t for 3 more hours. We did U.S. customs in Vancouver, so we were able to go to our next gate. Denver re did some of the gate area. So it was nice and open feeling. There was even a section where you could go sit outside. They had a fire pit and chairs. It was 90 degrees outside so I didn’t go sit out there. Several delayed flights, so everything was busy. We were able to find a seat to wait for our next flight. There were lots of Cots at the gates which tells me people were waiting for a really long time. People were taking naps on the cots. About an hour before boarding our gate changed, so we had to walk to a new gate. Then when it was time to board wait for the flight attends to arrive from their previous flight.

On the 2nd flight we were served dinner. the flight wasn’t too bad. When we arrived in Orlando it took about 20 minutes to get out bags before we could head to get our car.
