Day at Sea adventures today. Woke up around 7:30 am this morning and headed down to deck 4 Vista Café to grab a coffee and breakfast treat. Big weather change from yesterday much warmer and humid outside. It was nice and quiet out this morning, so we took some time to walk a little on deck 4 and head back upstairs to enjoy our verandah. It is nice having a lot of seating space and choosing between different types of chairs.

Brunch this morning was up at Palo we had a great seat by the window to look out and watch the ocean. I started off with a mimosa and we had some pastries. I don’t remember ever getting pastries before which was a fun treat.

The was a nice fruit tart with a lemon custard. A pastry filled with Nutella. Blueberry crumble muffin. Almond croissant with a hazelnut filling. They also have a great basket we don’t usually eat the fancy breads. Need to just stick to the pastries next time.

Mickey Mouse waffle with a strawberry compote. I like getting the waffles here. They are larger and just taste better than down in Cabanas.

Then the Margherita Pizza. It was delicious as always. The waiter said they get their flour from Italy to make it as close as they can to how you get it in Napoli.

I opted just for some vanilla bean gelato as I was already full and not really interested in the other desserts.

The view from our room is really cool. It is fun to watch the water off the back of the ship and have some shade in the afternoon while relaxing outside.
Around 2:30 pm we were in Meridian bar to do the Arts of the Theme tour and learn a little bit about the decisions for the designing of the ship. They talked about how some of the paintings on the floors give you information about what comes next. As you walk up from deck 10 to 11 there are Ducks eating and Deck 11 has Cabanas. When you go from Deck 11 to 12 there is a scene from Ratatouille and Deck 12 has Remy and Palo. Then Deck 12 to 13 has Goofy playing sports and deck 13 has Goofy’s sports deck. We also learned that the décor on Deck 3 has scenes of Donald, Daisy, Goofy relaxing like they are on vacation too. They talked a lot about the peacock feather decor that is used in the main area of the ship.

After the tour we did a few laps around the ship and headed to O’Gills for a drink. We had the Chilled Leprechaun which we had a few years around. It is Bailey’s Irish Cream, Kahula Coffee Liqueur, Ketel One Vodka and Vanilla Ice Cream.

Dinner tonight was at Enchanted Garden. Our table was in the back right corner, but we were one table away from a window which was nice to be able to look out during dinner.
Tonight, I had the Lobster Ravioli. Garden Salad with Ranch Dressing. Prime Rib with twice baked potato and veggies. For dessert Chocolate Brownie Sundae – peanut butter brownie bites with rich chocolate ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate fudge sauce. It was ok I probably won’t get that again.

After dinner we walked a few laps then we inside to people watch. It was formal night and the welcome reception. So, lots of people dressed up and free drinks. All I could really taste was orange juice.

There were characters out -Mulan, Snow White, Rapunzel, Tiana, Chip and Dale, Goofy, Mickey, Minnie. The movie playing tonight was The Marvels. It was cute and silly. The theater wasn’t busy which was nice. Minus the kids who kept talking during the show it was a good time. Once the show was over it was time to head up to Deck 11 for the Celebrate the Supers show. A silly little show with Mr. Incredible, Frozone, Elastigirl, Edna Mode, and Jack-Jack. Jack-Jack escaped on the ship and was setting things off like the fireworks and messing with the lights. Once they were able to catch him then there was a short firework show. Clock jumped ahead 1 hour tonight.
