St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, February 21, 2024

Bright and sunny morning in St. Thomas today. The humidity isn’t too bad but it is warm outside.

Check out all of these yacht. The sail boat is evidently Jeff Bezos’s boat and his toy yacht is 2 over from the blue sail boat holds all the water boys.
This morning I opted for a ham and cheese omelet, donut, hash browns and bacon.

After a quick breakfast in Cabanas we headed off the ship. The shopping area was right across from the port which was nice. We stopped into Pandora right after it opened. Weirdly they were mopping the floors so of course as soon as we walked in on the wet floor they were dirty again. They had a lot of charms to choose from, but the one that caught our attention was sold out. After getting a new charm we headed off to a coffee shop.

We made sure to hit the tourist photo spot. Luckily it was early enough that no one else was around.

It was a cute little place called Stir It Up. They had tons of yummy looking pastries. We decided on a Maple Pecan pastry that was really yummy and an iced vanilla latte. We decided next year when we hit this port again we will just skip breakfast on the cruise and come here.

I had an iced vanilla latte (it was really good) and we shared a maple and pecan pastry (it was sweet, but good)

After sitting down and enjoying our coffee and pastry (and some WiFi) we headed to our next stop Paradise Sky Tram. We booked this through Disney and were sure what to do next we didn’t have any tickets and weren’t given any direction from Disney. We asked at guest services and they said to take a screenshot of it on our app showing we had paid for it and show it at the sky tram. When we arrived at the Sky Tram there was a woman there who asked us if we booked thought a cruise and what ship we came from (there are 4 in port today). We told her our ship and room number. She confirmed it on her paper and handed us some wrist bands. We walked up about 30 steps and arrived just in time to catch a tram up to the top. Skipping a line of like 10 people waiting to pay. Then we walked up 30 ish steps and right when we got up the trams had just arrived, so we jumped right on no waiting.

Views while riding up the sky tram

At the top there are some booths for shopping and places to eat. We picked up a few things, enjoyed the views then headed back down.

Views from the top. You can see the 4th cruise ship in the bottom right picture way off in the distance. The other 3 cruise ships were also closer to this location.
coming down the mountain there was some amazing pools at these houses.

When we got back to the bottom there was a long line of people waiting to go up. We timed it perfectly this morning to avoid the crowds. We stopped into the market to see what fun things they had and check prices. The prices were crazy!  $4.95 for a can of soup. $9.95 for Oreos. We didn’t buy anything as the prices were crazy and mainly just wanted to check things out. After walking around a little longer we headed back to the shop for some lunch and to cool off.

We hit deck 11 at Towmaters grill for grilled chicken sandwich and fries. We saw our head server and talked to him for a little bit about living on the ship. He said they sleep 2-3 per stateroom and have to keep all their uniforms in their room too!  He did say they don’t have to wash their uniforms just hang them on their door with a ticket and it is taken care of for them. The assistant and main servers have to take their uniforms to the laundry room and turn in a ticket to get their uniforms cleaned. He said due to lack of space they really only keep 2 shirts for when they are off duty.

On Deck 13 at the front of the ship we had great views while relaxing.

Satellite falls was calling for some time to relax in the water. It  was quiet up there and the water was nice. A little warm but there was nice breeze that kept it chilly. There were rain clouds moving over the island but it never ended up raining just blocked the sun which was perfect for me.

After some pool and sun time we stopped to grabbed some ice cream before heading downstairs. I went with the mango/ chocolate swirl. It was surprising good. Since we had some loungers on our verandah we decided hanging out away from where everyone was talking was a good option.

When we arrived back in our room the new Tv had been installed. We had been seeing boxes in the hallways the last 2 days. Someone came by to put in the TV we were getting ready to head to the pool so it worked out perfectly. The when we came back we had a new TV.

Before dinner we stopped on deck 4 to see what Pixar characters were starting to come out in preparation for Pixar Day at Sea. We saw Sulley, Mike Wazowski, Buzz, Woody, Joy, Sadness and Remy.

Since there time before dinner we headed to Bon Voyage to grab a drink. I had a limoncello spritz (not as good as in Sorrento). It was a little strong and I felt it by the time I was done!  Good thing it was time for dinner down at Enchanted Garden.

Coronation of mixed leaves- vine tomatoes, blue cheesecake, apples, candied walnuts, and aged red wine vinegar
New York strip steak – with truffled layered potatoes, honey parsnip, and buttered spinach with pepper sauce on the side
Tiramisu, crème brûlée cheesecake (yummy), strawberry and cream tower
