Woke up again around 6 am this morning (too much sunlight coming into the room). We headed up to Cove around 8am not as many people out and about since it is Castaway Day. We did see the lifeguards training in the pool upstairs. It was cool to watch that for a few minutes.
A quick breakfast over at Cabanas before going back to hang out until we arrived at Castaway. We were supposed to disembark at 10am, but we were just pulling into Castaway at that time. When ended up getting off of the ship about 11:15. The all aboard time was pushed from 4:45 to 5:40pm. It was a little rainy while we were pulling into port. Nothing that would keep you off the beach or from being able to pull into port.

It was cool to watch the ship back into port and see everyone on the island getting ready. You could also see the rain coming across the island which is really cool. We got our things ready for our Serenity Bay Cabana. The night before we had an envelope dropped off with all the Cabana 23 information and our wrist bands.

We got off the ship and walked down to Pelican Point team stopped to catch the team to Serenity Bay. Once we arrived at Serenity Bay there was a Cabana sign to the left of the plane with an employee waiting in a golf cart for us to arrive. Once he checked us off his list we hopped into the golf cart and were taken to our Cabana.

We were in Cabana 23. The adult cabanas are 22-27. Inside the cabana is a little screen for changing. Not the best as I could see through the little holes in the screen and when the wind blew it opened it a little. Next time I’d change before coming down it was a little tricky. There was a closet with a safe, tissues and shelves to store things. A little table with spay sunscreen. A basket full of towels to use and a basket of chips and granola bars. The fridge held a large bowl of fresh fruit, coke, Diet Coke, sprite, Sprite Zero and water. Inside the cabana were ceiling fans, a couch, coffee table and 2 chairs. On the back deck were 2 lounge chairs and a chaise lounge. Then a hammock in the sand, a long with 3 tubes and 3 rafts. There was also a shower and foot rinse station. These cabanas are the closest to the beach where the other down the beach look like they are set back just a little farther.

There were plenty of bar staff walking around and we easily got a bon voyage (pina coloda and strawberry daiquiri). He came right up to the Cabana got our room card and brought our drinks right back. It was very relaxing. I had a bird friend I was competing with when it came to drinking my drink. Luckily I finished it before he was able to get some.

We did head down to the water for a few minutes, but it was super cold so we only went in to our knees. I was glad we had our water shoes since that beach is very rocky.

Lunch was over at Serenity BBQ. They had lots of different options -steak, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, brisket. I got a hot dog it was ok I didn’t eat it all. The brisket sandwich was really good. The buffet it set up weird, so you have to get a hamburger bun first before you even know what meat options there are. So I grabbed a bin thinking burger or chicken sandwich. When I saw the brisket I decided on that and it came already to go on a bun.
The cookies on castaway are always the best. We grabbed a cookie and some ice cream to take back to our cabana. The cabana host was sitting in his golf cart and gave us a ride back to the cabana. We enjoyed sitting in the shade and just relaxing. Having a fridge filled with drinks was nice. We went through a lot of water and had some of the fruit too. There was a little lizard chilling on the stairs when we came back too.

Around 3:30 the cabana host came around asking us if we were taking the tram back to the ship or if we wanted him to give us a ride. We opted to have him take us back at 4:30pm.

We were at the beach so long we started seeing the staff come through a clean things up. We are usually long gone back to the ship by this time! It was about 4:40pm when the Cabana hose came back to get us. He said he needed to drop a group off at the shops then come back to the cabanas and grab some more people. He said we could go for a ride or wait for him to come back. We deiced to go for a ride. Turns out good thing we did the shop the host thought the people wanted was the one near Pelican point. They really wanted to the one closer to the ship, so he just took us all the way there before going to get the next group of people.

Dinner tonight was back at Royal Court. I had a salad, Lobster tail (always fun to have someone else come and take it out of the tail), a sundae. After dinner time is always get things packed and suitcases put out before 10:30pm. Then complete the survey to turn it in.

Next morning is get up early have breakfast and get ready to get off the ship. We were down at 7am for breakfast and done by 7:20am. We were probably off the ship by 7:45am. It didn’t take long to grab our bags and go through customs. We had a porter help us with our bags since we had a few.
