September 26, 2024 Day at Sea

Not much planned today with the day at Sea. Started up in Cove Cafe for a coffee before heading down to the lounge. It is a little more muggy out today, but clear skies and so far a smooth ocean.

We tried to sit outside and enjoy our coffee but it go warm quickly so we decided to move locations!

I had a yummy little fruit tart in the lounge. We have concierge brunch later so didn’t want to eat much this morning. After some coffee and a quick bite it was back to the room to get ready for brunch. We did try to see if there was any weather news as our free 24 hours of internet was about to expire.

Beautiful skies and a beautiful ocean out this morning.

Palo was pretty bust when we for there this morning. We had brunch at 10:30 and it was already hoping with people enjoying. We started off with a mimosa while deciding what to eat this time.

Nutella muffin

I started off with a yummy Nutella filled muffin. Then I decided to get the strawberry waffles. I know you can get waffles in cabanas but these are just so much better.

After that I decided to go with the Margherita Pizza. It always hits the spot! For dessert I decided to try the Panna Cotta. It was really good. Sort of like a light strawberry yogurt. After that I was nice a full. We went back to the room to relax until we decided what we wanted to do next.

After a little break in the room to change out of our dresses we decided to hit the stores one last time. I had some cruise credit left that needed to be spent, so we did one last lap around the shops. After shopping we sat in some chairs in the lobby are to do some people watching and see what characters were coming out next. We ventured back outside where the waves were picking up and so had the humidity. No rain which was good.

We stopped in the lounge again for a pre dinner drink. I went with the Irish Mule again. Dinner tonight was down at Rapunzel’s and they had some music and a few of the characters at dinner. Tonight I just had a garden salad them salmon with a baked potato. I thought about getting the prime rib but i had a lot of red meat this week. I had the fry bread for dessert. We skipped out before the rest of the dinner show since we have seen it before.

Time for a little more walking. We saw a woman who was traveling with her teenage daughters (we ran into the woman several times). I took a few pictures for her and her daughter (in her graduation gown). Then we kept walking. We were looking for the sunset and decided we needed to go up to Deck 10 for the best view.

Concierge lounge (under the funnel area) . Left side is outdoor covered seating and middle had seating and snacks. Right side had seating and the bar.

We stopped back in the lounge one last time to check in with one of the host. He had a call while we were at dinner to see if he was going to be moved to be the concierge host on the Adventure sailing out of Singapore in 2025. He seemed excited about this as it gets him closer to his goal of being a food and beverage manager on a cruise ship.

Now time for the not exciting part of the cruise packing! We skipped the show tonight and decided to pack and get our suitcases out.

Around midnight I could hear kids yelling and running down the hallway. It was annoying but at least they didn’t stay in one spot and kept going. Then around 1am the ship did start rocking more.

Breakfast was at Rapunzel’s and waiting to get off the ship. I still had $5 in cruise credit so we went to cove one last time for coffee and use up my credit.

Then grabbed our stuff and headed down to breakfast. We got to breakfast around 7am. Our luggage tag was called as being ready for us before we even had our food! Getting off the ship was really quick. We got our bags and didn’t have to show a passport. They are doing the digital face scan and boom you are out. We were driving out of the port area by 8:15 so a pretty quick exit and on the road back to Winter Springs.
