Day at Sea February 17, 2025

This morning we got up slowly and went down to Heihei cafe for some morning coffee and for me to do some work. This area bar seating and then another row of seats. There are tons of plugs for charging too which is really nice. Since it was still early it was quiet even though the cafe is in the middle of a forked path near the grand atrium.

The navigator app has some really nice updates. When out of you room you still have access to some of the in room tv features. You can get a view anytime for the bow of the ship. Also get the information page and see where you are on the map. You can also watch TV or Disney in demand. A nice feature for those who have kids as long as the Navigator app is downloaded, you could access those features. I was really excited about the map feature.

We went back to the room to get ready for Palo. Since we were ready early we decided to stop at Rose bar and share the Mrs. Tea (selva rey white, absolute pear, green mango peach tea, Pompey pop rose). We decided to share and the bartender was nice and brought us 2 cups and gave us a little extra, so there was enough for the 2 of us. It was really good, but I am not sure I would have needed one for myself especially since I hadn’t eaten anything. It wasn’t busy since it had just opened and we were able to get a spot right by the window.

There were rose hidden everywhere in the decorations which was really cool.
I stopped to do a selfie while waiting for Mom to pay for our drink.

Bunch was very delicious and filling. The nice thing about cursing so much is we don’t over eat while on the cruise. I had to think what I wanted to eat this time knowing I will get to eat something different in April! We have learned to just ask for the pastries and not the regular bread. These are just so yummy. A fruit tart, blueberry muffin, Nutella muffin and almond croissant.

Strawberry waffle
Margherita pizza
Buttermilk Panama cotta pot- strawberry popping pearls with pistachio crumble

After lunch we tried to go to our room but he wasn’t done cleaning it. So we headed down to the shops to walk around and kill some time. Being at sea is nice since the shops are busy and the weather was nice, so a lot of people were outside at the pool. Since we don’t spend a lot of time at the pool in the ship it works out perfectly for us to find things to do inside.

Once our room was clean we were in need of a nap!  It was perfect after eating so much.

After nap it was time for dessert. We went upstairs and got some soft serve ice cream and sat in the adult only area to get some sun. The pool deck is super packed with kids. They were everywhere! The adults area was also pretty packed, but luckily we could find some room there to sit and relax.

Dinner tonight was at Plaza de Coco. We had a great view of the stage. The dinner was really good. Coco’s is only on the Treasure, so we were excited to see a new menu and what things they would do for the show.

Chorizo street croquettes- toasted corn, chili-lime crema, cotija cheese, cilantro- these were amazing!!!
The music during diner was great. We had watched Coco on the cruise, so we had a better idea of the people that were out and some of the songs that they played.
Luisa’s pollo asado – citrus- spiced roasted chicken, cilantro rice, tostones, Serrano-tomatillo salsa. This was also really good.
Miguel’s remember me sundae – cookies and cream ice cream, Oreos, chocolate hot sauce and whipped cream

The movie happens on Dia de los Muertos and the main person steals a guitar off his granddad’s ofrenda and he goes into the “underworld”. Everyone has an alebrijes that is their spirt animal in the movie. So down the hallway has some of the different sprit animals from the movie.

It was fun seeing the different colors of the chandelier. I didn’t noice the guide dog happens to be in this picture.

After dinner we were going to head out on the deck to walk a little bit. As we were heading outside I saw a man with his guide dog. I happened to have my Freedom Guide Dog sweater on and his wife saw my sweater and stopped. So I asked some questions and talked about guide dogs.

We went outside and it was super windy!!! We didn’t stay out there long. We walked over to the service dog section (there were 2 on this cruise!).

We were trying to kill time before waiting for the Broadway Series show where they had Courtney Reed and Adam J Levy sing some Disney songs. They were really good. Disney is doing a new services where they bring Broadway stars on the ship for a week they sing and do some Q&A. Then they next week new singers come on board.

The color changes are so pretty during the evening. We would stop by and check out the changes.
