Day at Sea February 20, 2025

Today was another day at sea, so plenty of time to think about what to do and how to avoid the crowds! We went up to Marceline Market to grab some breakfast. I grabbed a Mickey waffle (can’t go on a Disney cruise and not get one!). They have several topping choices: Maple Syrup, Whipped Cream, and Strawberry sauce. I also got a hashbrown, some bacon and tried a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. I didn’t care for that. I hate wasting food, but also like trying different things on the cruise.

It wasn’t really bust off the back of the ship, so we sat outside and enjoyed the sun while we ate.

After breakfast we decided to head down to Skipper Society to grab some coffee and so I could do some work. There was a craft activity going on, but the booth we liked was open so we hung out there. While we were handing out there were a few trivia games that started, so we listed to those and just relaxed.

We decided to give up our seats since more people were coming in wanting to play trivia. The shops were open again so we looked one last time to make sure there wasn’t anything else we wanted. We spent some time sitting outside on Deck 4 to get some fresh air, but stay out of the direct sun. Lots of people were in the pools and riding the aqua mouse.

When it was lunchtime we checked out Marcreline Market, but it was super crowded. There were lots of choices in the Market for lunch, but we decided to head back to 1923. We wanted cheeseburgers again and they were good a 2nd day!

Since it was a day at sea there was a matinee of the play Moana. We have heard people talk about getting in line an hour before the show starts. We were not all about that we got there about 20 minutes before and found a seat in the back not the best location, but we could see the stage. The play was really good. Before dinner we weren’t for walk on deck 4 and enjoyed the sunset.

Dinner tonight was back at Coco’s tonight is did de los muertos. The ofrenda had a white guitar like in the movie. Throughout dinner there was music and dancing. It was good dinner entertainment.

The lights had purple in them, so made our first course look funny. Mom’s guacamole looked brown until she turned on her flashlight to look at it and make sure it was green.

Beef Birria Empanada- baked pastry turnover with pulled beef brisket, Oaxaca cheese, Pico de Gallo, barrio Consommé
Ernesto de la Cruz’s grilled seafood and tomato rice – jasmine rice, grilled shrimp, calamari and scallops, castelvetrano olive, caper, pinto beans, green onions, tomato
Cappuccino Creme Brûlée cheesecake – baked vanilla cheesecake, caramelized coffee creme Brûlée

After dinner we stopped at the atrium to watch Sage and Coriander to a 2 person telling of Aladdin. It was really funny they did a good job. We found a nice spot to watch from Deck 5. At one point Peter Pan was heading out to do pictures and stopped to watch the story telling. It was really cute.
