Castaway Cay April 6, 2025 – Cabana 27

Arrival this morning at Castaway way 7:30am. We had a Cabana, so we wanted to get off the ships and enjoy our time. We decided to skip going to the Buffett or sit down breakfast and headed back to Cove Cafe. I enjoyed going up there and getting coffee and croissant. They were really good. We enjoyed our food and then decided enough people should be off the ship and it was time to head to our Cabana.

As we headed to Tram stop 2 to catch a shuttle over the Serenity Bay the adults areas. We stopped for some shopping. Then it was time to catch the tram and find our Cabana! We had green wristbands that let the staff know we were in a Cabana. We checked in at the booth and headed over on the tram. Once we got off the tram the Concierge staff was waiting for us, so we hopped into the golf cart and were taken to our Cabana!

Cabana 27 is the last Cabana on the row. It looked like some area past us hand been cleared, but we were told nothing was going in there. New Cabanas were being added up near the bathroom and they were doing some stuff down near the cast member beach.

From our Cabana we could see the ocean and it was a short walk to get down to the water. There were 3 rafts and floats left for us to use for the day. You could also go to the bike rental and get a free bike or ask for snorkel gear. While the bikes would be fun we really wanted to enjoy the Cabana that Suzi paid for.

Suzi enjoyed the hammock for a while until the sun was overhead. You can see some open area off in the background, but they said nothing is being added there.

The Cabana’s has nice indoor and outdoor seating areas. The loungers outside could be adjusted to lay down if preferred. There was good shade here for most of the day.

Inside has plenty of spade to relax as well. Lots of tables and chairs. There are plenty of towels as well. To right right of the door the brown door is a closet that has a safe and more towels.

No shortage of drinks, fruit, cool towels or snacks.

The small empty basket next to the snacks usually has sunscreen in there. We did ask the host for sunscreen when got to the cabana to make sure we had some.

The free rafts and tubes that can be used during the day. We took the tubes out to relax while in the water.

It was a quick walk to get to the ocean. Since we were down near the end there weren’t a ton of people down our way.

When we saw one of the drink guys walking around we ordered some drinks! We got the BonVoyage which is Pina Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri. There is a button inside the Cabana where you can have the host paged to help you get more drinks or give you a ride to the Buffett or bathroom. We didn’t use the button during our stay. If we saw the workers we got in the Golf Cart but it was really like a 2 minute walk between the food/restroom and the Cabana.

For lunch we walked over to the adults only eating area. I din’t have my phone with me, but I just ate a cheeseburger. After we were done eating we decided to walk back to the Cabana on the beach and put our feet in the water. It was a really nice day outside.

About 2:40pm the Cabana host came buy to pick us up and take us back to the ship. They have to try and get all the people back to the ship before they have to be on board. The fun part of this they take you right to the gangway. We show one keycard to get through the first check and then we are dropped right off next to the hand sanitizer stand. It is a lot of fun to drive past people on the way to the ship. Plus you can see some staff only areas as you drive around.

After a quick shower we decided to work on our list of things we wanted to do before our short cruise was over. First stop was in the Bayou to get some Beignets. They were delicious and nice and hot!

After that we decide to go into Star Wars HyperSpace and grab a drink.

The screen behind the bar would change every 10-15 minutes and take you flying around a different planet.

Batuu- Saigon Bagur, kumquat, lychee, coconut

Each lounge has snacks and some have similar options. Here there were Fava beans, chocolate covered pretzels and a snack mix.

After the Star Wars lounge we decided to head up to the Rose bar and get another drink before it was time for dinner. We were trying to check out all the bars we wanted to before the cruise ends! We still didn’t hit the coffee bars on decks 4 and 5 guess it just means another trip!

Suzi had the Crazy Old Fashion (Woody Creek, Bonne Mamon Intense Cherry), I had the Mrs. Tea (SelvaRey White, Belvedere pear & ginger pique passion fruit green tea, mot imperial Rose. Mom had the Welcome Home it was something with blue glitter.

Tonight’s dinner was in Arendelle

The extra blue lights that were on when I took this picture didn’t help the look. This was the Elsa’s Royal Baked Scallops- Shrimp Tarragon Bisque, Rainbow Carrots, Leeks, and flaky Pastry.
Garlic & Thyme Roasted Beef Rib-Eye: Double-baked Potato, buttered broccoli, sweet honey-roasted carrots and Cabernet Jus
It’s Elsa’s Coronation Sundae: Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, Marshmallows, fresh Whipped Cream, snowflake sprinkles.
