This Thanksgiving we decided to do a family cruise (only missing 2 people ). Our port arrival time was 12:15 pm which is a little later than what we normally get. The traffic at this time was crazy. It took 30 minutes from the time we arrived at the port to drop off our bags, park and make it to the line for check in.

The line for Platinum was pretty quick and once we got through that we were able to get right on the ship and didn’t have to wait around. Had to take a few pictures of the decorations. The tree was up in the atrium.

The gingerbread house was also up. There was a Santa blow up (I didn’t get him in the picture. Inside the gingerbread house was a fireplace video playing.

The girls and I decided to go for sit down lunch. Sit down lunch was in Animators getting into the table was a little tight as they were spaced very close together. I started with the beef empanadas and then had a Salmon Salad. We decided to skip dessert and grab some soft serve up stairs.

By the time we were done with lunch our room was ready so we headed up there to check it out. We were in room 6100. I realized I only had 1 picture and that was the bathtub. Our room sleep up to 4 people it was a long room. There was a couch bed and a chair. Tons of storage space. The bathtub was rounded and had good storage space in the showed. Also large enough for all 3 of us to stand in there.

When it was dine for the muster drill we headed down to deck 4 and get ready. It was nice outside so it wasn’t too bad waiting for everything to be done.

After that was over we waited for people to clear out and then headed up to Deck 5 to check out the teen areas for the girls. There were games, TVs, video game stations and an outdoor area with lounge chairs and a small pool. I am not sure if we ever figured out of the pool was ever open. We went to a jewelry presentation, so the girls could get their free bracelet and collect their nightly free charm.

First night for dinner was at Animators Palate. I started with the fried calamari. It was really good. Then I had salmon and baked potato. Dessert was the Magical Express Sundae. We had a large group, so our servers only had our table to try and take care of.
