Woke up this morning to see 3 ships in port from our hotel. We can’t see the Magic from our room.
For breakfast we decided to walk over to Star Drug Store. I decided to go for something from the lunch side of the menu. It was super good.

After breakfast we came back to the hotel to grab jackets! It is 64 and windy this morning and big change from yesterday when it was warm. After getting our jackets mom and I went and checked the walk to the port to figure out which street was best. since Galveston is prone to flooding the sidewalks are up high and have lots of steps to get down the street. Some areas do have wheelchair ramps but there is also a lot of brick around.

After finding a good route we headed to Sea Foam Coffee. The coffee shop is located in the back of the Sealy & Co building. This building houses several different shops over 3 stories.

After getting our coffee it was time to head back to the hotel to get all our things packed up. Our Port of Arrival Time is noon. The walk to the port was super windy. It felt like waking into a hurricane when trying to get to the port. We stopped to regroup at one corner and I checked the weather app said 24mph winds! Luckily once we got the port they had porters right there to grab our bags. Then getting in what a little confusing for the staff they kept looking at my paper and telling me my boarding time was 12:15 but my paper said 12:00-12:15 for some reason they just kept missing the 12:00 part. We were at the port a little after 11:30 and got into the security line. It moves pretty quickly. Once through security we got into the Platinum line and check it was really easy. We maybe had to wait 5 minutes for our boarding group. Mom and Dad were boarding group 8 and I was 9.

Once on the ship we headed up to deck 9 to g and some water and dad got some lunch. The funnel vision was playing Emperors New Grove so we sat outside or enjoy the views. It was windy and overcast but still nice to sit outside and enjoy the weather.

At 1:30 we headed down to the our rooms to check them out and look for our luggage. I have an inside stateroom. For just me it has plenty of space and lots of storage.

My muster station was in the back of Animators. Which was nice I had a place to sit down while going through the demonstration. Once it was over I was able to some back stairs up to my room and miss the crowd of people which was nice.
I went to Mom and Dad’s room for sail away and watched us leave port. We could see our hotel and a few buildings that we had walked past during our ghost tour and our walk around town. We saw the huge University Medical complex.

Dinner tonight was at Rapunzel’s Royal Table.

After dinner we walked past the shops and the lines were crazy! They had some Panama Canal specific pins, ornamental shirts and pull over jackets. We decided to skip the shops and take our chance on Monday.

I had a massage scheduled and headed up to the spa to end my first night. It was a great idea and so relaxing. The ship was real rocking tonight. The water was splashing out of the pools.
