Woke up around 6:30 and headed home stairs. We could see land again which was good since today is a port day. A little cloudy this morning but helps keep the temperature down. As long as it doesn’t rain we will be good!

Quick breakfast from cabanas and then up to deck 10 to watch the ship come in. We couldn’t watch the docking since we had an excision to get ready for and had to be in our location by 8am. All ashore time was 8:30 so they wanted people to be ready to get off the ship. This is another short day in port with all aboard being 1pm.
We waited in the theater until about 8:45 and were told it was time to head off. We made it down 1 flight of stairs and things were at a standstill. We stood on deck 4 for about 15 minutes before things started moving again. We were finally on the bus by 9:05 and pulling out around 9:10.
Motorcycle drivers in Columbia don’t have to have a drivers licenses, insurance or helmets. In tourist areas motorcycles are used a taxis and can only transport men and not women in tourist areas.
Colombia produces the highest level emeralds. Cartagena is the 5th largest city in Columbia and has over 1.5 million people.
We arrived at the first stop at 9:34am and San Felipe (fort) it was a quick stop just 10 min to look at the outside of the fort.

Lots of traffic around the area. It was about a 20 minute ride to the next stop which was an artisan market. They had lots of pretty looking stuff and of course each shop sold coffee. About 15000 Columbian peso is $5 US dollar at least that was the conversion prices listed in the store. When I had internet and looked it up 18200 columbian pesos is $5. I’m sure they sort of pick a price since the currency rates can change.
Because the ship was late getting people off each stop had to be shortened. Which was fine we did a quick bathroom stop at the market which was an adventure. They have a bathroom attendant and the toilet was right at the door not much room to turn around once inside. It was really a cleaning closet with a toilet. This stop was 20 min which was more than enough time. Lots of vendors trying to sell stuff which makes sense but feels overwhelming.

Next we went to the Naval museum and watched a dance presentation. After that it was a very quick look around the museum before heading to a church.

We walked around there and then off to the Spanish Inquisition museum.
After that we were given 15 min of free time and we had passed a Starbucks on our way to the museum. We made a quick back track to Starbucks so I could grab my mug. We saw Pandora too but didn’t have time to go in there. We went back to the meeting spot to catch the bus back to port.
When coming back our guide did say that peacocks were protected and could roam free around the port. I also saw an iguana eating a pile of leaves. The guide said that these animals hung out at the port and kept safe.

Once on board I headed back to my room to order room service and take a quick shower. After that I was so tired I ended up taking a nap.

Around 4pm we headed down to O’Gills for a drink and to relax. Mom and I started a puzzle it was kind of hard to see in the dark are so we switched to dominos. There are tons of games available to play in the pub which is nice.

Dinner tonight was in animators. There wasn’t any show or anything tonight so we were in and out pretty quickly (an hour).

Then we did a few laps up on deck 4 before heading to our rooms. I went to my room to finish up my book. Then watched some TV. I watched Hulk the 2008 one and then Iron Man.
