So starting with arriving in Boston Wednesday, January 29, 2020. Southwest no longer does a direct flight from Atlanta to Boston. I flew Atlanta to Nashville and then onto Boston. Both of these flights were light, so I had the entire row to myself on both flights. It was awesome!!!! I arrived in Boston and found mom down at baggage claim. After we collected my bag we followed the east signs out to the Shared Van area and waited for our Go Shuttle. I put on our reservation for pick up at 4:30, the confirmation email said we don’t to pick up times, but the shuttle comes to the airport twice an hour. So my thinking is ok top and bottom of the hour no problem. I received a text from Go Shuttle asking if we were reading for pick up and if we were at the location. Then the text said this is your driver they are on the way. After waiting 10 minutes (now 4:40pm) I called to get an ETA. I was told 5 min…..20 min later I called again. This time when they called the driver I was told oh the can broke down the driver isn’t coming!!! The girl said “sorry about that we will refund your money, we don’t have anyone else to send Bye.” So we leave this area and decide ok lets do Uber not a Taxi. So we walking from Terminal B to Central Parking to the Ride Share area. I order an Uber and we wait. The amount of people waiting for an Uber was Crazy!! I message the driver and said we are by parking spots B26-29 so he would know what section to pull into. The message I get back is no not that area go to TNC. I was like that means nothing to me I need better directions I am in this location. He says go ask someone for help. I look at mom and we were like ask who??? The employees in the road making sure the traffic is moving?!?! I am not going out there. So he ends up canceling the ride! Then Uber has the nerve to send me a message telling me they are charging me $5 for the canceling on the driver and not begin ready. I was like ummm nope that isn’t happening. We were ready and waiting in the area according the signs. So we leave the Ride Share area and go to Terminal A and find a cab. Finally we are leaving to airport it is now almost 6 pm! The driver was not great I felt a little car sick by the time we made it to the hotel. The cab ride with a tip ended up being the same cost as the UBER.
So finally make it to the Omni Parker House and get checked in and up to our room. We decided to drop off our stuff and go find somewhere to eat. We walked about a block and found a Irish Pub and decide to stop in for dinner. We order a Jameson and Ginger. Mom had the Fish and Chips and I ordered the Taste of Ireland (shepherd’s pie, chicken pot pie, and Guinness Stew). It was a fun little place to have dinner. At the front there were 3 men playing some Irish Music. Then we went for a short walk. It is pitch black by 5 pm, so we didn’t walk very far since we thought it was much later!

Looks tasty already!
