Day at Sea, April 14, 2026

Well today was supposed to be a port day but because of construction at another port our original itinerary was as changed.

Adults get up early on this cruise for sure. Every morning before 7am there are a lot of adults in Quiet Cove. Luckily we were able to find the couches in front of cove we like to sit in and relax while drinking our coffee. Today we decided to run over to cabanas and bring our food back to our seats in Cove. The fun thing about being on long cruises is you get to know the staff better. The first day we meet Viola from Italy so we always talk to her when we see her working. She is on the same dinning rotation as our servers so we see her almost every night at dinner. I saw our server Timur and chatted with him before heading back to eat my breakfast. It was Churro waffle day again (not my favorite) luckily they still had regular Mickey waffles.

After breakfast Mom and I found some lounge chairs up on deck 10 we lasted maybe 30 minutes before it became sunny and we needed to cool off. The adults pool had too many adults, so we went to the kids splash area which was perfect right at the very end a kid showed up. Otherwise it was just mom and I chilling in the kid pool.

When we got out we the saw Kevin our assistant server and chatted with him for a while. Then I left mom so I could go meet dad for anyone can cook. Yesterday the chef said we were moving on to dessert but the app said it was a corn cheese tart today. There was a new wine pairing which was a prosecco. The corn cheese tart was actually really good. He did say you can replace the corn with fruit or chocolate.

For lunch we went to Cabanas. It was the first time this trip I’ve done cabanas for lunch and I was not missing anything (well maybe the desserts). The salad was good but the lettuce is so hard to eat. It is shredded lettuce so doesn’t like to be stabbed with a fork

Fruit tart this was amazing
Vanilla Mille-feuille

After lunch I read for a little while and then decided to go to the room. I was going to nap but instead watched Black Panther. Headed to deck 4 for an afternoon drink. Tried the drink of the day a Castaway Wave.

Castaway wave- Malibu coconut rum, apple pucker, Midori melon liqueur, orange passion guava juice

It started to get a little warm so we decided to head inside and see if O’Gills was clear. Luckily we arrived right when a trivia finished so we were able to find a seat. Mom and I have been playing cards more today. Trying to make sure we use the things we brought.

Dinner tonight was back at Rapunzel’s. They played music but no new shows. They did one the 2nd time we were in the restaurant but nothing since.

Potato croquettes – stuffed with basil and Italian cheese, on white wine creamed leeks and candied onion
Napa valley romaine salad- romaine leaves with feta cheese, sweet onions and a Zinfandel, tarragon infused dressing
Portobello mushroom ravioli – sautéed in a truffle sage brown butter, seasonal veggies and parmigiano reggiano
Lemon Pepper Sonoma chicken- with port wine glazed shallots, whole roasted sweet carrots, green asparagus over wild rice with natural jus
Chocolate self- saucing pudding (not sure about what makes it self saucing) with vanilla ice cream.
Chocolate Carmel torte- layer cake, rich chocolate truffle cream, Dulce de leche, roasted hazelnut (not my favorite.

For our post dinner walk we started on deck 4 and then decided to go up to deck 10 and see the sunset. It was pretty but super windy! After our walk Mom came to my room and we watched Shang-Chi.
