Disney Fantasy Room 10062

I am in the process of planning another cruise (shocking I know) and have been search for information on specific rooms. Then it hit me that I should also be reviewing my rooms, so I can remember what I like and don’t like about the rooms. I do not have a lot of pictures of the room since I did’t think about talking specifically about the room while I was on the cruise. When thinking about picking a new room on a different cruise I thought of a few things I wanted to know about: noise, balcony, muster drill area.

Most important thing, the location for the Muster drill! We were group E and we went down to the 4th floor to the Buena Vista theater. My previous cruises my location was always outside. I didn’t even know they did locations inside! We got to our location took a seat and hung out in the AC until the drill was over. It was amazing. From rooms that they were calling it sounded like parts of the 9th and 10th floor were in this area. Groups E and F were in this location.

So we stayed on the 10th deck midship. This room is directly under the Eye Scream area which is on Deck 11. There were times when we could hear running (who wouldn’t run to the ice cream machine) or chairs being moved at the end of the night. It wasn’t too loud at night. During the day you could still hear people move around, so it can be a little loud, but not enough that you can hear the TV or anything. The room has a couch that turns into a bed. This room has a small coffee table in front of the couch. Some of the Disney ships have a little ottoman that you can hid stuff in, but this room did not have that. The table was perfect for holding drinks or a room service tray. The room also has a table and chair for you to sit and write some letters. The desk also has a couple pieces of stationary and 2 post cards! Towards the end of the cruise a notice is left that if you take anything from the room you will be charged for those items. They do have some nice pillows and blanket, so I can see why they need to remind people not to take their stuff.

There is a nice curtain to separate the bed from the couch section.
The couch turns into a bed. This room sleeps at 3 people. This is one of the smaller Verandah rooms.

There are split bathrooms on all Disney Ships, which is awesome. In the bathroom with the toilet there were 3 shelves that you could your items and at least 2 hooks that hand your toiletry bag. In the shower part of the bathroom there were 2 shelves to put your items on. Disney does provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. They have large bottles that they use, so it will last you the whole cruise. The disappointing thing is they aren’t travel size, so you can’t take them home with you. The shower section has 2 pull out cords, so you can hang your bathing suits up to dry.

The verandah was nice. It has 2 chairs and a little table. We went with the clear verandah, so we could see well even while sitting. The one thing I didn’t like if the overhand from deck 11. In a lot of my pictures you can see the over hand from that section.

The top right of this photo you can see the over hang I was talking about.

Location: This room is close to the midship elevator. I did not notice a lot of noise from people going up and down the stairs or getting on and off the elevator. This location was great for running upstairs to get drinks from the drink fountain or even to head up to Cabanas or the Cove. I loved the easy of getting upstairs and did spend a lot more time up in the Quiet Cove area.

Port Views: In Cozumel this room is facing the port, so you can see the city of Cozumel. When traveling to Mexico from the room you were able to see Cuba, which was really cool. Falmouth our room faced part of the city. So you saw a little bit of the Island and a lot of the ocean. Castaway Cay you are facing away from the main part of the Island. You exit the boat on the port side, so you can see everyone getting on and off. It was also cool to watch the staff get the towels ready to be put on the boat. You also were able to see the cast member waving as you left the Island.
