Had a nice wake up call from the rumble of the engines coming into port. When they are moving the different rudders to get into port there is a lot of shaking and noise in the back.

We do have a great view of Tortola since the ship backed into the port. The flag is back up blocking a little bit of the port, but still tons of things to see.

Quick breakfast up at Cabanas. Not much interested me this morning. I got my hash browns which are always needed for breakfast on the cruise.

Time for get ready for our excursion we headed down to deck 4 and out to the walking track. As we were standing on the starboard side we could see 2 other cruise ships. We did see an ambulance pull up at the Fantasy. The EMTs took the stretcher onto the ship. We had to go to our tour meeting place so not sure what happened. There was a Viking ship that had to anchor out and use tender boats to bring people into port. I was glad we were the first ship in port this morning and was super easy to get on and off at the port.

We meet in the D lounge and waited for our turn to get off the ship. The first part of our trip was the sea. We took a boat out and looked and learned some information about the different island. There are 68 islands that make up the Virgin Island. 48 are part of the British Virgin Island. 12 are part of the US Virgin Islands. We were on the boat for about 2 hours and ended up on the west end of the main island. Where we had some time to go into a few shops and the market. There weren’t a ton of shops so we sat outside of the market and were told about 10:40 we could go ahead and get in the trolley taking us back to the ship. Bring ready early did not pay off for us. The 2nd trolley left at 11am and we waited until 11:10. One family can’t tell time and didn’t show up until around 11:10. We were told the buses were leaving at 11am.

We took several hair pin turns in a trolly that held 20 people to a high point with a view of the water. Got out for some pictures and people could grab something to drink. Then back up and down the mountain for some more amazing views. Not sure I’d want to drive here with the steep roads and sharp turns. Several driveways made mine look pretty flat! It did provide nice views of the island and as we were coming back down the mountain we started to see our ship.

We were dropped off at the port and walked around a little. We decided to ship the food and drinks here and head back to the ship for lunch. Lunch was being served in the Royal Palace. I had the classic cheese burger and Fries. For dessert I went with the Mickey Funnel Sundae- vanilla ice cream, Kit Kat chunks, chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

After lunch it was time for a break from the sun in the room. I got in a little nap which is always needed after being in the sun. Around 4:30 we headed down to deck 4 to watch the characters and people dressed in their pirate gear. It was fun to see how people chose to dress up in shirts and costumes. There was one lady dressed in red with feathers to look like a parrot and her husband was dressed as a pirate.

Dinner was back at Animator’s Palate tonight was drawing night. Once our drawings were submitted it was time to eat and wait for the show. The magic bands we have also light up when there is a show happening in Animator’s and with fireworks. I went with the Tomato Caprese. Chicken schnitzel. Celebration cake.

After dinner we decided to head back to deck 4 and do some more people watching.
To get in the private mood it was time to watch Muppets Treasure Island. We decided to skip the fireworks and pirate show. We heard the fireworks around 10:30pm but didn’t feel like going up for those.

Thanks for sharing. I love to read what you did on the cruise. Pops
