Vancouver, BC July 6, 2025

This morning we didn’t have anything planned, so we took time and made breakfast in the hotel. That was an adventure as we turned the buttons on the stove to make eggs and nothing happened. We called down to the front desk and they sent someone up. The guy banged on the ceiling near the vent and got it working.

While we were getting reading to make the eggs we saw the fire department back at the apartment complex behind our hotel. They had the ladder out and 2 fire fighters in the bucket, but we have no idea what they did since no one came down in the bucket.

Once we got done watching the fire department we went back to breakfast. We had the donuts we picked up from Lee’s Donut the day before and some eggs we bought at the IGA grocery store.

Donuts starting a the mint chocolate (tasted like a thin mint), Chocolate crunch, Raspberry filled, Strawberry Cheesecake, Lemon filled, Maple (in the middle)

We picked up the Hop on Hop off Trolley right in front of our hotel and headed off towards Stanley Park. When got off at the Totem Pole stopped and looked around and then walked along the sea wall. Stopping to see some different statues, looked into downtown Vancouver.

Brockton Point Lighthouse

Jeannah, Bella and I walked down to the water and out our feet in. I checked the water temperature it was 64 degrees!

After finding more spots on our Stanley Park bingo cards we stopped to have our picnic lunch. We had sandwiches, fruit and some water for lunch today. Carrying the bag around was a little heavy but it was fun to eat lunch outside.

After we finished lunch we walked over to the Aquarium. We did not go into there was a long line.

We stopped at the Bike Cafe and got some ice creamy to share. We saw a sign for a fish cone and that was the main things we wanted to try. The ice cream was ok and the cone was pretty yummy.

We checked out the rose garden before catching the trolley back into downtown. The rose garden had more than just roses and they were all really pretty.

After taking the Trolley back to Canada Place, Jennah, Kelle and I headed over to the Lindt store to look at the chocolate and then walked back to the hotel. This afternoon is all about relaxing. We picked up a few things to go with our left overs we had from dinner last night to eat tonight.

We have been watching the Calgary Stampede on TV. We have added that rodeo to our list of things to see one day.
